Bristol Republic: A Taste of Nashville in Columbus

Our FIRST visit, and I found this gem (I don't frequent short north often) on a whim in search of ideas for my bestie's birthday. Sooo glad we tried it! We went at the perfect time. We made a reservation for 11:15a (not required unless you have specific seating requests or want guaranteed seating). I called to ask if reservations were required and the young lady who answered was very kind to take a phone reservation. She could have easily directed me to their site to reserve on OpenTable but she offered to reserve and suggested the booth. We had the perfect booth. It wasn't packed. We scored on street parking at the crosswalk leading directly to BR. The service was wonderful. Celeste did an amazing job AND even remembered to offer the birthday girl's house shot without us asking. She was attentive and came back to get our thoughts on the fried chicken deviled eggs with the hot honey drizzle (HEAVEN SENT ). Those eggs were delicious! Celeste told us we would love them. She was right. I was glad I ordered two. And the ooey gooey mini cast iron skillet cinnamon rolls They were SO good. I forgot to take a pic before we demolished them. I had the brisket and eggs as my main meal. I had to try the IN-HOUSE smoked brisket. It was juicy, tender and full of smoke flavor. Chef's kiss! A perfect combination with the eggs and potatoes. The waffles were also perfect. They had a light crunch on the outside and soft fluffy texture on the inside, as well, Lastly, the hostess (which I believe is the one who took our phone reservation) was willing to take our group photo outdoors. All in all, BR has a great atmosphere and it is a nice place to grab a tasty meal!

We ordered the Try it All platter. Generous portions of several featured items. Great way to sample some of the best that Bristol Republic has to offer. Chicken was tender, pulled pork very good, hot link solid, the corn bread was tasty, (didn't care for the butter very much), ribs were excellent, the collard greens were well prepared, and the potato salad on point. Could argue a 3rd side to balance out all the protein LoL! 2 of us ate and had leftovers to eat again! Service was good, but I was always out of iced tea . Still a worthy visit.

Popped in for a quick brunch on the way home from Cincy. Great plates and beer, at an excellent price. Our bartender was super attentive and positive. We'll definitely be back.

They boast that it is good and it really is! The fried pickles are crisp and plentiful. They start you out with 2 dipping sauces- well done!! The chicken tenders were so delicious- scratch made, succulent and scrumptious! Juicy and crispy. The right amount of waffle fries. We had a combo meat platter to split between the 2 of us and still took some home. All was excellent. The collards side is a must have and ample to share! The place was lively and hopping. We enjoyed a table dining experience around 5ish on Saturday and they were getting busy when we left. The Bloody Mary was also very delicious. We also enjoyed the carafe of water left in the table. The decor is cute but not overly done and the country music is the best of what Nashville has to offer, with some great throwbacks!

I came here for Sunday brunch one time. The place has a very solid, BBQ-focused menu, and even the breakfast dishes have some BBQ flare to them.. lots of dishes that would put you to sleep! It has a chill bar vibe, with lots of TVs, and a decent-sized patio for a nice day. We ordered a ton of starters, and I thought they were the star of the show. The brisket on top of the tots and nachos was excellent. I never imagined BBQ sauce and nachos could make such a good combo. Both dishes were overloaded with good stuff!.. I don't know how else to put it. The hush puppies were excellent, too. The cinnamon roll was a 6/10 for me; twas a little crunchier than I'd like. All the main dishes on our table looked amazing, and generally, everybody was happy. I had the brisket and eggs, which wasn't as flavourful and exciting as the starters, but still a solid meal. Service was pretty good and quick, despite a bigger party. I'd be happy to come back.

I loved this place!!! It probably became my favorite burger in Columbus. We shared “The Republic Burger” and the “Boulder City Burger” and we loved them. Especially the second… with an amazing bacon and a delicious brisket. It could be very heavy, but I loved every bite of it! Only downside were the fries… a lot of potential, but I guess they were not cooked perfectly and so they were kinda soggy and oily. From the other side, “Fried Pickles” were amazing: we really loved them too! Servers were all nice and even when busy, they paid a lot of attention to us and where always polite. Their beer recommendation was great too. I was going back again especially now that I know they have Live music. A great experience

This place is awesome... they have great bbq with a unique bourbon based bbq sauce. Their mac and cheese is incredible. The music is good and the atmosphere is great. Try their house bourbon very good. It is worth trying out - it would be easy to pass by on high street but definitely worth the trip to the short north
